So, my Technical Support Team and I were at Electronica in Munich last week, speaking directly with customers, answering questions and finding solutions to their problems. On the Thermal Management stand (my base for the week) there are some common themes running through the questions that we are receiving. So I thought I would share them via our  knowledge centre for everyone’s reference:

“What thickness should I apply my thermal interface material?”

Whether it’s a thermal management paste, gap pad or…

As we have been discussingover the last few months, thoughtful design will pay huge dividends down the line - and the designers among you will have friends for life among your production colleagues if you make their jobs just that little bit easier!  So, having started the conversation about the importance of making sound early-stage design decisions, for my next blog, let’s look at some of the issues that the… Read more >

What’s all the fuss about F-Gas Regulations?

Posted on 27 July 2016 by Technical Support Team

Impending new F-Gas regulations, set to commence in 2018, will ultimately have a big impact on the choice of propellant chemicals used in aerosol products. With European legislation limiting the amount of fluorinated gases used as propellants in aerosols to one fifth of their 2014 levels by 2030. This will impact anyone who currently uses an airduster in the industry, even every day maintenance such as clearing dust and contaminants from difficult-to-access electronic circuits and components.

To combat this change,…

In my last blog piece I laid out some basic points to help ‘design out production problems’  - essentially how to spot those ‘wrinkles’ that might have an adverse effect on production, ironing them out before you even think about applying conformal coatings to your products.

In this post, I’m going to take a look at some issues you are sure to face - and which must be taken into consideration - when, finally, you apply those conformal coatings. Here are my five essential facts:

 Fact 1Back…
