Electrolube Launch New Protection Solutions for Indian Automotive Manufacturers
Posted on 06 July 2015 by Electrolube
The electro-chemicals specialist, Electrolube, will showcase key contact lubricants, conformal coatings, encapsulation resins and heat transfer solutions for heavy duty, demanding automotive applications at the Automotive Engineering Show (booth 2026), which takes place at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai, India, July 7-9 2015.
The Automotive Engineering Show is an important platform for international companies keen to present their production technologies to India’s fast growing automotive manufacturing sector. Electrolube will highlight five products at the show, which have gained a lot of interest with automotive manufacturers: CG60 contact grease, HTSP heat transfer paste, ER1455 epoxy encapsulation resin, AFA acrylic conformal coating and ER2188 epoxy resin.
CG60 contact lubricant offers enhanced electrical and mechanical properties under the conditions required by today’s automotive and domestic equipment industries. It has been specifically designed for use with a vast array of high-performance plastics, including ABS and polycarbonate.
HTSP is a highly thermally conductive, non-curing heat transfer paste, designed for use as a thermal interface material. It is recommended where large amounts of heat need to be dissipated efficiently, and where there is a requirement for the reliable thermal coupling of electronic components. HTSP is silicone based and offers an exceptionally wide operating temperature range.
ER1455 is a two part epoxy encapsulation resin offering high resistance to a wide variety of chemicals, including solvents and fuels. It is a fully reactive system that is both solvent and filler free, and offers the highest level of performance in harsh chemical and high temperature environments.
AFA is an acrylic conformal coating formulated without the use of hazardous aromatic solvents. It is an excellent protector of electronic circuits and meets many industry standards, including UL94 V-0 flame retardance. The transparent coating delivers excellent clarity and UV resistance, and as such, is ideal for LED applications, where optical clarity and environmental protection are both critical requirements.
ER2188 is a UL approved, general-purpose, two-part potting and encapsulating compound. The system utilises a hardener free of diaminodiphenyl methane (DDM) or other aromatic amines. Moreover, the flame retardant technology used is of a ‘clean’ type, leading to low toxicity fumes and low smoke emission.
Padmanabha Shakthivelu, Sales Manager of Electrolube India, said, "As a complete solutions provider and ISO 14001 qualified manufacturer, we have gained particular interest from auto-component manufacturers and the LED industry, who trust our expertise in providing solutions across a wide range of thermal management products, contact greases, conformal coatings and encapsulation resins. At Automotive Engineering, we will launch the very latest protection solutions to the market and showcase the company’s chemical portfolio as a ‘complete package’ solution at all levels of production for automotive manufacturers in India."
