Electronics Control Unit (ECU)

Electrolube Conformal Coatings, Potting Compounds, Thermal management solutions and other associated product solutions for all areas of the Automotive Electronics industry.
  • Corrosive Gas Protection
  • Thermal Cycling Resistance
  • Salt Mist Protection
  • Moisture Protection
  • Dust + Environment Protection

The Electronics Control Units are some of the most important parts of a modern vehicle, controlling the majority of the electronics systems on board and connecting with the central / cabin controls. It is important then that the PCB and components of the ECU, which is often exposed to extreme temperature shifts, corrosive gases and other harsh conditions is reliable and protected from corrosion. Electrolube products are created to thrive in such conditions, protecting the PCB and components and ensuring reliability. Electrolube products such as the 2K range have been especially developed for the Automotive industry and offer superb levels of protection.

SCC3 Conformal Coating

200ml - 1 Litre - 5 Litre

Product code: DCA200H - DCA01L - DCA05L

DCA is a unique Modified Alkyd conformal coating specifically formulated to meet the highest defence standards in both Europe and the United States. Based on silicone, it is a highly flexible coating making it ideal for small or delicate components, while also maintaining protection through an extremely wide operating temperature range. DCA provides excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents such as those found in the automotive and aerospace industries making it an excellent choice for these industries.

DCA can be sprayed, dipped or brushed and DCA contains a UV trace, which allows inspection of the PCB after coating to ensure complete and even coverage; the stronger the reflected UV light, the thicker the coating layer is. UV light in the region of 375nm should be used for inspection.
