Conformal coatings are designed to protect printed circuit boards and related equipment from their environment. Typically applied at 25-75µm, these coatings 'conform' to the contours of the board allowing for excellent protection and coverage, ultimately extending the working life of the PCB.

MCS is a low viscosity, solvent free silicone conformal coating featuring a moisture cure mechanism that is designed to be touch dry in 10 mins at ambient temperature of 25°C. A full cure is achieved in less than 48 hours. This cure time may also be accelerated with heat for faster processing.

As a silicone coating it is flexible, with low stress on components (ideal for small or delicate components) As with other silicones, it has a wide operating temperature range of -65°C to +200°C. This makes it especially suited to applications such as the automotive industry, power electronics or other electronic applications which require high temperature performance.
